Adult Daycare centers are community based group programs specifically designed to meet the needs of older individuals with functional and/or cognitive impairments who need supervision or assistance throughout the day time hours. These centers provide a supervised atmosphere where individuals can participate in social activities, recreation, self-care training, and assistance with self-administered medications. All Adult Day Care Centers provide snacks and lunches that are nutritionally balanced.
Eligibility:
Individual must be age sixty or over, physically or mentally disabled, frail, could benefit through individualized attention and social structure, or needing considerable assistance throughout the day to ensure safety. A person with a diagnosis of probable Alzheimer's or dementia is eligible at any age.
